✨A Look Back at 2025: Community, Connection, and Memorable Moments at The Preserve

As we reflect on another wonderful year at The Preserve, one thing stands out above all: the strength of our community. In 2025, residents came together to celebrate creativity, friendship, giving, and simple moments of joy — proving once again that The Preserve is much more than a place to live. It’s a place to belong.

Here are some of the moments that made this past year one to remember.

Karaoke Night — Music, Laughter, and New Friendships

We kicked off the year with music and fun during our Karaoke Night at the clubhouse. Residents took the mic, shared their favorite songs, and filled the room with laughter and support. Whether you sang your heart out or cheered from the audience, it was a night that showed just how easy it is to feel at home here.

BBQ Lunch Party — Good Food and Great Company

Nothing brings people together like food, and our BBQ Lunch Party was proof of that. Residents gathered for a laid-back afternoon filled with delicious bites, warm sunshine, and conversations that turned neighbors into friends. It was the perfect reminder that community is built one shared meal at a time.

Pet Costume Contest — Halloween Fun for Our Furry Residents

Our four-legged friends stole the spotlight during the Halloween Pet Costume Contest. From superheroes to spooky creatures, the creativity — and cuteness — was unmatched. Residents couldn’t stop smiling, snapping photos, and cheering on each pet who walked the runway. It may have been for Halloween, but the joy lasted long after.

Creativity Corner — Crafting with Heart

This year we introduced Creativity Corner, a monthly opportunity for residents to tap into their artistic side. Handmade crafts, cozy textiles, and beautifully designed pieces filled the room as residents shared ideas, techniques, and plenty of inspiration. Creativity Corner quickly became a favorite space to relax, learn something new, and express personal style.

Match Game Night — A Little Competition, A Lot of Fun

Our Match Game Night brought out the competitive spirit in the best way. From trivia questions to light-hearted challenges, teams worked together to win bragging rights — and more importantly, to enjoy an evening of connection. The energy, excitement, and friendly rivalry made it a highlight of the year.

Community Market — Local Vendors, Local Love

In November, we hosted our Community Market — a two-day event celebrating local makers, artisans, and small businesses. Residents enjoyed exploring unique finds, handcrafted goods, seasonal products, and homemade treats while supporting vendors from across the region. It was a reminder of how vibrant our surrounding community truly is.

Friendsgiving Lunch — A Table of Gratitude

We gathered in November for Friendsgiving, a special lunch dedicated to friendship and thankfulness. Residents shared stories, meals, and heartfelt moments around the table. It was a warm and meaningful way to kick off the holiday season and celebrate the connections that define life at The Preserve.

Christmas Angel Tree — Giving Back to Nocatee Elementary

One of the most touching traditions at The Preserve continued this year with our Angel Tree in support of Nocatee Elementary. Residents selected an angel card representing a child and purchased gifts to brighten their holiday. From toys to clothing to simple needs, every wrapped present held a message of hope and generosity.

This tradition — originally started by resident Sue Ellen Smith — continues thanks to volunteers like Cathy Vavala and Sue & Dan Hoden. The Principal of Nocatee Elementary joined us this year to personally share how much this kindness means to the students, families, and staff. It was a powerful moment that reminded us of the difference one community can make.

Looking Ahead

As we close the chapter on 2025, we’re grateful for every event, every conversation, and every smile that shaped this year at The Preserve. These moments reflect what makes our community special: neighbors who show up, give back, and enjoy life together.

We can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store.
