We hope this message finds you well. Over the last few weeks, Florida faced two significant hurricanes, Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton.
We’re grateful to inform you that The Preserve weathered these storms incredibly well, with no significant damage throughout the community. Not a single home was lost and all were livable immediately after the storm.
Whenever there’s a tropical system of any magnitude in Florida, the media rushes to report any damage to trailers. This infuriates owners and managers of manufactured housing communities because the homes that are shown are old single-wide homes that were not built to the standards required by law today. Our product is NOT trailers.
One of the reasons for this is the construction of our homes. Manufactured homes built to HUD standards, like those at The Preserve, are designed to withstand hurricane-force winds. These homes are engineered with reinforced structures and rigorous building standards, ensuring they meet or exceed federal requirements for durability and safety in severe weather conditions. This includes enhanced anchoring systems and wind-resistance measures to provide peace of mind during hurricane season.
Nestled just inland in Lake Suzy, Florida, but still close to the Gulf, The Preserve stands as an appealing choice for active adults seeking both lifestyle and safety. While coastal areas often draw attention for their beachfront beauty, inland communities like The Preserve offer a unique advantage—natural protection from the brunt of hurricane season.
If you have any questions or would like to schedule a visit to see the community for yourself, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We look forward to welcoming you to The Preserve!
